Our Foundation and Jurisdiction

The Central Tax and Central Excise Commissionerate, Thiruvananthapuram, was established with the implementation of GST, notified on June 21, 2017. It operates under the administrative control of the Chief Commissioner of Central Tax and Central Excise, Thiruvananthapuram Zone.

Our jurisdiction covers the entire southern part of Kerala, encompassing the five districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, and Kottayam. This Commissionerate is a re-organization of the erstwhile Central Excise, Customs, and Service Tax Commissionerate formed in 2002.
